This project was conceived as a modest living and kitchen space expansion with the relocation of an existing half bath on the main floor to optimize function and flow. The building footprint was maintained and a single story above the lower storage area behind the garage was added to expand the kitchen. We provided extensive design iterations for multiple contractors to review, give feedback for and price. A new stair to the lower level, separated from the garage by one-hour rated construction, gave the new lower level guest suite the connectivity it needed to function as a natural extension of the home. Currently in construction, we are looking forward to posting updated images when the project nears completion this summer.
